Thing 5
School 2.0 to me means a school that is using the web for best, most up to date, information for it's faculty and students. Schools that understand and know how to use the internet in the most helpful ways can only benefit. Students love technology and will be more interested in subject matter that incorporates technology. It may take teachers longer to appreciate School 2.0 but they should embrace it. I believe schools of the future should be fully integrated into School 2.0. These tools make information easier to obtain and more easily passed from person to person.

I agree with you but I have also started to take into consideration those schools that cannot afford this technology. How can those students benefit too?
ReplyDeleteI live in a very rural, low income county and every school has at least a few computers and so does our public library. Most classrooms have at least one computer. I know not every school is that lucky but I would say if you have them, them you should know how to use them. I have also been in classrooms that had 5 computers sitting in the back that were never used because the teacher just didn't know how to use them with her students. I just think if you have them in your classroom then it is your responsibility to learn to use them to benefit your students.
